Overview
We’re looking for a high-performance Project Manager to join the Alternative Investment Practice. The individual will be tasked with running eFront implementations for Private Market clients.
The role is office based in our London HQ office, 51 Eastcheap, London, EC3M 1DT and from other locations such as client offices or home on occasion.
Responsibilities
Project Manager leading an Alternative Investment software implementation. Core role activities include:
- Project planning: create and manage a full Alternative Investment software implementation lifecycle project plan.
- RAID log: create and maintain a full RAID log ensuring continual project progress, whilst adhering to project governance best practice.
- Stakeholder management: manage multiple stakeholder relationships from day-to-day business users, through to senior management. Any approach must ensure a collaborative and productive approach, with strong conflict management skills.
- Reporting: create periodic project reporting output for internal and external stakeholders, including but not limited to weekly status updates, working group agendas and minutes, Steering Committee agendas, packs and minutes.
- Resource management: manage multiple internal and external resources, identifying and resolving resourcing issues before they occur.
- Project methodology: flexible approach based on agile methodology, with the ability to adjust to client or vendor requirements.
- Subject Matter Expertise: provide first class subject matter expertise across all Alternative Investment asset classes, functions from front to back office, as well as software and/or solution expertise.
- Business Analysis: provide expertise to assist with business analysis activities, including:
- Requirements documenting.
- Target Operating Model design.
- Data Architecture design.
Skills & Experience
Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following:
- Demonstrable experience working for a relevant LP, GP in the Alternative Investment space, or for a vendor providing services to the Alternative Investment space.
- In-depth experience across multiple asset types such as Private Equity, Private Credit, Venture Capital, Real Estate and Infrastructure.
- In-depth experience of project managing and successfully delivering multiple system or process change projects.
- In-depth experience supporting or using a Private Market software solution such as eFront (preferred), Investran or AllVue.
- Ability to clearly articulate with stakeholders through business reports (email, written reports and PowerPoint).
- Ability to lead agile, team, working group and other stakeholder meetings.
- Exceptional use of Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
- Subject matter expertise in identifying typical business requirements, challenges, risks and mitigations or solutions.
- Experience using project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Project and Smartsheets.
- Experience with business analysis activities including Target Operating Model design and Data Architecture design.
- Could have exposure to public market investments as well to lend knowledge on hybrid engagements (public and private investors).
- Could have experience with public market platforms such as Aladdin or Charles River.
